Noon: Women in Cycling BBQ at Trailhead Cycling in Champlin – the guys will be grilling for the cycling women!

Meet us at the trailhead on Saturday, September 24, from 1-3 p.m. to celebrate the newest mountain bike trail in the Park District. Bike the 12.5-mile trail that includes beginner and intermediate loops as well as an adaptive trail designed for use with hand-powered mountain bikes. Festivities will include free refreshments, a kids scavenger hunt sponsored by Erik’s Bike Shop. Members from Minnesota Off Road Cyclists will lead guided trail rides. REI is providing door prizes, mountain biking basics mini classes, and also will conduct bike safety checks. Maple Grove Cycling and Trailhead Cycling and Fitness are graciously providing bikes for you to demo. And one lucky park guest will win a brand new mountain bike courtesy of Maple Grove Cycling.

Elm Creek Singletrack Trailhead on West Hayden Lake Road in Champlin, MN. The Hayden Lake parking lot and trailhead are located one mile west of State Highway 169, on West Hayden Lake Road, just west (200 yards or so) of its intersection with Elm Creek Crossing.
