Help clean up Minnehaha Creek and maybe win a canoe!

Volunteers are being recruited from across the Twin Cities to clean up Minnehaha Creek at a free, family-friendly event. On Sunday, July 8th Minnehaha Creek Watershed District is teaming up with the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company’s “Canoes for a Cause” campaign to host the 6th annual Minnehaha Creek Clean-up at Lake Hiawatha at 46th Street and 28th Avenue South in Minneapolis. The goal this year is to collect two tons of trash! As a result, we can “Save our Summers” and have cleaner water for everyone to enjoy.

I participated in this event in the past and had a lot of fun.  It’s really rewarding to clean up our lovely parks!

My husband and I attended this event last year and it was a blast.  We love biking near the creek and it felt good to volunteer to keep it gorgeous!
