The Anchor Fish & Chips

Last night, we went to The Anchor Fish & Chips in Northeast Minneapolis for dinner.  The Anchor Fish & Chips gets rave reviews but we had not yet tried this restaurant.  We walked in and the place was packed.  I ordered the burger, which was made with grass fed beef and it did not disappoint.  City Pages actually named this the best burger of 2010!  My husband got the fish and chips, a favorite dish of his, and he was in heaven.  Both entrees came with the best steak fries or “chips” either of us had ever tried.  The fries were thick, yet incredibly crispy.  All in all, we highly recommend this restaurant.  Just be prepared to wait if you’re dining at prime time.  Carry-out is also available if you don’t want to deal with the crowd.

DEAL ALERT: Coupon for a free beverage! Free beverage includes soda, beer and house wine!  Expires: March 31, 2011.
