Sample Night Live – Staff Favorites Show

The next Sample Night Live show is January 2nd at History Theatre in St. Paul.  The January show is extra special as it’s the Staff Favorites Show.  If you’ve never attended Sample Night Live, this show allows you to preview a variety of acts from local productions across the metro area.  This is a great event to attend if you’re on a budget because St. Paul Library card holders can obtain free tickets.  If you have a Hennepin County library card it’s easy to register your card at any of the St. Paul public libraries so you can also get in on this deal too.  Goldstar also offers discount tickets.

I’ve been to about 3 Sample Night Live shows and always have a great time!

This event is hosted to promote the arts so donations are appreciated, particularly if you do not pay for tickets.  If you’d prefer to support Sample Night Live through the purchase of food and drinks, I’m sure that’s appreciated too!

…comedian Zach Coulter!  I’ve seen Zach perform a few times and always find him thoroughly entertaining.  Typically, tears of laughter end up streaming down my face.

Sample Night Live: Recap & Discounts!

I went to Sample Night Live last night for the first time and it was great!  We saw Irish dancers, theater acts, improv comedians, a jazz group and more.  My favorite act was Lounge-asaurus Rex, who did some improv lounge singing and served as the emcee for the evening.  I also really enjoyed the act from History Theater’s upcoming “American as Curry Pie.”

    St. Paul Library card holders can now obtain free tickets to Sample Night Live!  The next show is March 2nd at History Theater in St. Paul.  What is Sample Night Live?  Sample Night Live is a show that allows you to preview samples of the best Classical Music, Dance, Novelty Acts (Escape Artists, Magicians, Light Bulb Eaters, etc.), Vocalists, Puppetry, Wonder Kids, Small and Large Arts Organizations, Stand-up Comedy and Improv, Independent Film, Poetry Slammers and Performance Artists, Theater and Local Bands.

    How it works:

    • Show up
    • Enjoy previews of a dozen performing arts events
    • Use your playbill to opt-in to the mailing lists of the companies you love, and…
    • Vote for your favorite
