The Minneapolis Idea eXchange

The Minneapolis Idea eXchange (MiX) blends culture, stirs thought, and kindles solutions by bringing the community together to foster ideas that power our community. This September 28 and October 1 and 2, we will build on the momentum created at MiX 2014 and partner with Westminster Town Hall Forum to bring MiX 2015 back to the heart of the city.

We invite you join us at MiX 2015 for three Westminster Town Hall Forums featuring Pete Docter, screenwriter, director, and animator for UP, Monsters, Inc. and Inside Out; Tavis Smiley, author, publisher, social justice advocate; and Dan Buettner, founder of Blue Zones, an organization helping Americans live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

From creating award-winning animated movies to discussing communities of justice to taking a cue from the world’s healthiest people, we’ll dive into how these ideas can apply to Minneapolis. Help us answer the question: How do you want to live, work, and play in your city?

Find us at the corner of Nicollet Mall and 12th Street in an environment transformed for MiX. Take in an outdoor experience complete with music, good eats, local drinks, interactive activities, and social events. Everyone is invited and all events are free! To officially get in the MiX, go to www.minneapolisideaexchange.com/2015mix.

MiX is a community-powered event that encourages discourse on the topics impacting our city and celebrates the nationally recognized ingenuity and talent rooted in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Idea eXchange is an initiative of the Minneapolis Downtown Council.
