9 Nights of Music

The popular series, now in its 19th year, presents the rich and vibrant rhythms and sounds of Minnesota’s multi-cultural community at free outdoor performances at the Minnesota History Center every Tuesday in July and August!

Presented by Xcel Energy.

6:30 to 7 p.m.: Dance instruction provided by Tapestry Folk Dance Center (with recorded music).
7 to 8:30 p.m.: Live music and dancing.
Listen to infectious music and get out your dancing shoes for saucy Salsa, spicy Cajun, and bluegrass as co-sponsor Tapestry Folkdance Center provides instructors to lead the way.
Bring a chair or blanket and a picnic, or purchase food from the History Center’s Cafe Minnesota (no outside alcohol is permitted). Admission to museum exhibits is free on Tuesdays from 3-8 p.m.
Rain plan decisions will be made by 3 p.m. the day of show: Due to inclement weather, the performances will be held inside the History Center’s 3M Auditorium with a seating capacity of 330. Beginning at 5 p.m., numbered tickets that guarantee seating will be distributed in front of the 3M Auditorium on Level 1. Auditorium doors open at 6 p.m.  Food and beverages are available for purchase in Market House by D’Amico. Space for picnics is provided indoors in the café.  No food or drink allowed inside 3M Auditorium.
