RESCHEDULED TO MAY 28: Whole Foods Biker Appreciation Day

The Whole Foods Market on Excelsior is having Biker Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 28 from 10am to 2pm.  This event will feature bike repair, a bike donation drive, healthy snacks, prizes and product samples.

Bikers we salute you! Whether you bike year round, bike seasonally, or are just getting into riding- you are invited to our Biker Appreciation Event.

Full Cycle Bike Repair and Donation Drive: Our fabulous community partner, and current non-profit One Dime at a Time recipient for April, May and June, Full Cycle will be here offering complimentary bike services. They’ll be able to take a look at your bike, give your tires some air, tighten things up and give any of those larger repair issues a good diagnosis. While you’re getting your bike looked at enjoy some Peace Coffee and other samples. Do you have any used bikes or bike parts that you want to get rid of? Donate them to Full Cycle! They’ll make excellent use of those items.

About Full Cycle: Full Cycle is more than just a local bike shop; it is a non-profit organization committed to providing homeless and at-risk youth with access to free and healthy transportation, employment opportunities, and connections to other essential resources.

Go on a group bike ride: Join local bike group, Twin Cities Bike Meet Up for a group cruise around the local bike trails. The ride will begin at Sea Salt in Minnehaha Park at 10am. Visit their website for details: http://www.meetup.com/tcbicycling/

Cooking Healthy For Every-Biker-Body: Don’t forget to stop by our prepared foods department for a few samples. We’ll feature recipes with active lifestyles in mind and send you off with recipes so you can try them out on your own.
