Cinco de Mayo in St. Paul
The Westside Cinco de Mayo Festival celebrates the community’s Mexican heritage and Mexico’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
This festival began in 1985 to celebrate the community and its businesses and serve as a means for preserving the area’s rich culture and history. It is a gathering of local residents as much as it is an opportunity for non-residents to experience the vibrancy of Saint Paul’s West Side.
For the last three years, the Westside Boosters have organized this thrilling two-day event to include a collection of festivities from live music, a car show and tasty food vendors.
