Cranksgiving is an annual charity ride/race to support local food organizations that host Thanksgiving meals!
Your goal is to ride to grocery stores and co-ops and buy food items from the ‘Cranksgiving Shopping List’ which identifies different thanksgiving foods that the sponsoring organization has suggested…. It is up to you how much food you pick up; some people stay lightweight and pick up the beans, gravy mix, noodles, etc; other will go for gold and buy Turkeys and sack of potatoes!! Last year, riders spent between $10 and $100 on shopping list items.
Expect few pit stops and other surprises! You can team up or ride solo and choose from a “speed” route or “big haul” route.
– Awards to: “Most Generous Team”, “Most Generous Individual”, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd Women & Men speed.
– Swag from our returning sponsors such as Birchwood Cafe, SPOKES, Sunrise Cyclery, Barbette, BaileyWorks Bags, Urban Velo, Fiks:Reflective, Oury Grips, Pedalbelt, Green Guru Gear, Fyxation, swrve, MonkeyLectric, Dero, Chrome Industries, O2 Rainwear, Behind Bars, Peace Coffee and much much more!!!
All donated food will go to Sisters Camelot for their Thanksgiving meal.
