Free screening: Fixing the Future

In Fixing the Future, host David Brancaccio (of public radio’s Marketplace and NOWon PBS) visits locations across America that are attempting a revolution: the reinvention of the American economy. By featuring communities using sustainable and innovative approaches to create jobs and build prosperity, Fixing the Futureinspires hope and renewal in a people overwhelmed by an economic collapse.

The film highlights effective, local practices such as: local business alliances, community banking, time banking/hour exchange, worker cooperatives and local currencies.

Plus, we’ll be screening the 15 min, internationally honored, short called Food for Change about the history Food Cooperatives in the US, featuring the Twin Cites Food Co-ops. This short will eventually become part of a feature length documentary about food Cooperatives.
