Groovin’ In The Garden
The free concert series, “Groovin’ In The Garden”, returns to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory featuring some of the Twin Cities’ finest musicians & activities for the whole family.
While the grownups get their groove on with some of the Twin Cities best bands, the kids will be entertained by a climbing wall, bouncy house, and lawn games. Pack the dancing shoes, spread out a blanket & join us for these FREE outdoor concerts & activities on the Visitor Center lawn every Wednesday, August 7th – September 11th from 6pm–8pm. Food, ice cream treats, beer and wine will be available to purchase.
The free concert series, “The scheduled concert lineup is as follows:
- August 7 – Crankshaft & the Gear Grinders (rock ‘n’ roll, blues, country, swing, and surf)
- August 14 – Steve Sullivan & The Factory (juke joint blues to soul and R&B all the way back to western swing)
- August 21 – Chastity Brown Trio. (gospel, roots & soul, jazz, blues & country)
- August 28 – i like you (eclectic blend of ukulele, trumpet, violin, acoustic guitar, upright bass and percussion)
- September 4 – Barbara Jean Band (banjo, fiddle and viola)
- September 11 – The Melvilles (eclectic and upbeat)
