Help make Lift Bridge beer
Help Stillwater’s Lift Bridge Brewery Hop the Harvestor at Pickin’ and Grinnin’ on September 7, 2012.
Pickin’ – 5-8pm – All Ages – Free
You can volunteer to pick hops straight off of the bines and pitch directly into this years Harvestor fresh hop brew. The bines will be cut down at Hippity Hops in Forest Lake, MN. They will have beer sampling and sales for your drinking enjoyment, as well as live music, food, games, and good times to round out the party! You’ll be working alongside the Brewmaster, owners, and staff! Merchandise is available for purchase. This is your chance to participate in a one-of-a-kind event and be part of this brew!
Picking will start promptly at 5pm and finish up when the hops are all gone, or 8pm. You must reserve a no-cost Pickin’ ticket online in order to participate.
Brewing: They will be brewing our annual Harvestor fresh hop ale at the event and the fresh hops you pick will go right into the beer. This beer will then ferment and age for 3-4 weeks before release, at which time you can raise a glass and proudly proclaim that you did that.
Beer: We will have fresh beer for sale.
Music: Live bluegrass music
Food: Food will be available for purchase.
Grinnin’ – 9-11pm – 21+ – $8
At 9:00pm, they welcome the popular Pat McCurdy, playing great folk, bluegrass style tunes until 11pm.
Tickets: Tickets for the Grinnin’ portion of the event are $8+ fees in advance or $10 at the door.
Beer: Your ticket gets you your first beer. All additional beers will be $4.
