REVIEW: Muckster II women’s boots

In my opinion, a Minnesota gal can never have too many coats or too many boots. Of course storage and finances can limit this reality but with the number of occasions and weather we experience, I never feel satisfied in these areas. When The Original Muck Boot Company asked if I’d like to try out their new fleece-lined Muckster II boot I immediately replied YES! The fleece lined Muckster II is an insulated rubber boot meant for the messiest of conditions. These boots have a thick sole with a nice tread. I find the sole to be much more cushy as compared to my Hunter rain boots and the thick rubber sole also is warmer than my Uggs when standing on ice or snow. I get the impression they are impossible to scuff or damage without the use of tools. I love that they can be abused and have been perfect for the messy weather we’ve been having. The boot shaft is wider than I thought I’d like because it’s meant to roll down. I’m not sure why you’d do this with a cold weather boot but it is an option. The wide shaft makes the boots a breeze to get on and off but also makes them less sleek. These boots are my new go-to for errand trips through slushy parking lots or a quick run to the mailbox. If you walk for your commute, these boots would be perfect to-from boots for keeping your feed warm, dry and generally being indestructible.

The fleece-lined Muckster II retails for $120. For now, the only color available in the insulated version is the shown black and grey plaid.
