REVIEW: The Trump Who Stole Christmas

It may be nearing 60 degrees in Minneapolis this November, but Christmas is in full swing at the Brave New Workshop!  Their seasonal special, The Trump Who Stole Christmas opened this past Friday.  The show features the hilarious sketch comedy for which the Brave New Workshop is well-known.  They do an excellent job of mixing in enough pokes at politics (Mr. Trump being easy fodder), pop culture (Star Wars), current events (Target’s gender neutral toy labeling), and midwestern holiday traditions with a blend of sight gags and physical humor sprinkled in like cinnamon on a pumpkin spiced latte.  Although the cast changes slightly from production to production, they always come together to deliver a mix of entertainment where the comedic bar is consistently set high.

If you go, be sure to try the specialty “tainted toupee” cocktail.  It’s delicious! Did you know if a person took the bus and brought a transfer, or if they took their bike and brought in a helmet, that they would receive a voucher for a free beer or wine at the BNW bar? It’s true!

The Trump Who Stole Christmas runs through January 30, 2016.  Click here to buy your tickets via the BNW online box office. Discount tickets are often available so check out these offers too!
