River Ramble

Join Banjo Brothers with cyclo touring troubadour and poet Ben Weaver for a river ramble to celebrate the conclusion of 2017’s edition of 30 Days of Biking. In Keeping with tradition this ride will be friendly and open to riders of all ages and ability. We will meet at Perennial Cycle and then head to the river where we will work as a group to complete a clean up near the site of the old Meerker dam along the banks of the Mighty Mississippi. After our work project Ben will give a short concert/reading/talk before we head out as a group to Izzy’s Ice Cream where we will enjoy ice cream. We will be joined by the student-run Green Team from Southwest High School from Minneapolis.

PLEASE NOTE: The Southwest High School Green Team will meet at the main entrance to the school on 47th Street at 9:00am to ride to Perennial Cycle. Sudents who do not want to bike can meet the group at the clean-up location at the Meeker Dam and are still welcome to enjoy ice cream at Izzy’s Minneapolis location.
