Sloppy Loppet

The heat is on! Pat’s Tap presents the First Annual Minneapolis Sloppy Loppet, a snow day for grown ups. Games, carousing, thrilling competition, all atop your cross-country skis at the splendid grounds of Theodore Wirth Winter Rec Area. Cross-country ski experience and/or athletic prowess not required in the least! Just bring your drinking (snow) pants and game face.

Challenges will include the “Beerathalon,” complete with nerf gun target shooting, the conceptual “Snow, Man” creative sculpture competition, and the “SnoCan Dash,” a twist on the classic egg-on-a-spoon, balancing snowballs on empty tallboys. Also on tap: A “3-Ski Race,” “Beer Sled Relay,” and “Ice Buckets,” a Bozo Buckets-beer pong hybrid. Top scorers will go on to compete in the “Sloppy Showdown,” a race around the course, with a few surprise elements thrown in.
