Street Food – Destination Jamaica

Street food is all the rage.  Save some money by learning how to make authentic Jamaican street food yourself with this class from Lunds & Byerlys!

Chef Tim Pohland returns for another session highlighting international street food. Jamaican food is a fusion of flavors, ingredients and techniques from the indigenous population and the Spanish, British, Indians, Africans and Chinese. Bold flavors and rich aromas emanate from the liberal use of spices and seafood and tropical fruits are primary ingredients. Sample Jamaican Jerk Shrimp, Cornmeal Banana Fritters, Jamaican Peanut Porridge and A Dark and Stormy, a popular island beverage.

Classes fill up fast so sign-up soon if you are interested.  If you’d like to take more street food cooking classes, there’s still some spots left for the August class.
