Free class: Holy Crop! The Nature Photographer’s Greatest Software Tool

Photo by Alan Schultz of the MN Nature Photography Club

The limited amount of editing allowed on Nature Competition images forces photographers to rely on a few simple tools and techniques to make their images stronger than their best in-camera incarnation. Of these tools, the Crop is probably the most powerful. This session will help you realize the power of cropping, find unusual crops that make your image stronger and give you a new way of thinking about your in-field capture. Holy Crop! is an extension of a popular blog of the same name that discusses all things crop-related. Presenter Bio: Rikk Flohr is a professional photographer based in the southern Twin-Cities Metro. He has been published in local and regional newspapers, regional and national magazines as well as a variety of local media. He teaches photography, image editing and workflow nationally at conferences such as CorelWorld, PowerPoint Live, the Presentation Summit, Adobe’s Photoshop & You, Adobe MAX, and other events. Rikk serves as the Lightroom Guru at various Adobe-sponsored events. His list of clients includes the National Park Service, the National Wildlife Refuge, the Minnesota DNR, Corel, Microsoft, and Adobe.
