Pay what you can shows: True West

Tickets for tonight’s show of True West is “pay what you can”!  Tickets normally run for $20-30 so this is a great way to see the show if you’re on a budget.  If you can’t make tonight’s show, there is another pay what you can show on September 5.

Violent and funny, this American classic explores the explosive sibling rivalry between two brothers living in their mother’s home in 1980. Straight-laced Austin struggles to complete a screenplay he’s sold to a Hollywood producer when his estranged older brother Lee drifts in from the desert. Though he’s not a writer, Lee mocks his brother’s attempt to write an authentic Western and creates his own tale, woven from fragments of genuine experience. When the Hollywood producer prefers Lee’s invention over Austin’s, the brothers engage in a savage struggle to claim the true story of the West.
